School Policies

Avondale School strives to ensure that the culture and ethos of the school are such that, whatever the abilities and needs of members of the school community, everyone is equally valued and treats one another with respect. Pupils should be provided with the opportunity to experience, understand and value diversity.

Please find below a small selection of school policies, relevant to the day-to- day life of the school. A comprehensive policy schedule, including departmental policies can be obtained through the school office.

School Behaviour

We believe that children flourish best when they know how they are expected to behave and should be free to play and learn without fear of being hurt or unfairly restricted by anyone.

SEN & Disability

We welcome children whatever their individual needs and believe in providing an inclusive setting where all children have an entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum.

Child Protection

We recognise that because of our day-to-day contact with children, school staff are well-placed to observe the outward signs of abuse and therefore report any signs.

Accessibility

The culture and ethos of the school are such that, whatever the abilities and needs of members of the school community, they are all equally valued and respected.

Complaints Process

We believe that our school provides a good education for all our children, and that the Headmaster and staff work very hard to build positive relationships with all parents.

SEND Information

We strive to support all children to enable them to achieve at school. In order to do this many steps are taken to support them through their learning journey.

School Admission

It is our intention to make our School accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community given that we are an independent, fee-paying School.
